When the first strawberries of the season are ripe! Strawberry shortcake for dessert is a simple pleasure I always look forward to.
Mine finally came on strong yesterday.
Ripening faster than the squirrel can eat them.😅

The smell of decaying grass and cow shit makes me weirdly happy; it takes me back to fly fishing, in my youth, on a farm. The mental association to that smell is extremely strong.

There's some undeveloped land, near my new home, that is basically a swamp. It has that smell. Many great memories are triggered every time I walk past. It's super weird.

In the same boat except mine is triggered by horse shit and takes me to my time on a ranch
