Leech Lake Newb

A couple thoughts on this thread.

I doubt any of us amin have read this thread past the initial page. I was on vacation and certainly hadn't. As we have always always said since the beginning please send us a PM or use the report tool to report any possible issues. It's the best way to get a hold of us.

As far as the hot spotting goes however it sounds like there are numerous fly clubs already hitting this lake? I see no real issue with the name being mentioned and specific issues like is the campground open being mentioned.

The crowds on these types of lakes will ebb and flow regardless of our forum. I just don't think it qualifies as a hush lake where some general questions discussed on our forum could bring it harm...

I'm sorry, but until LL has an outhouse with Ceviche, LT and SK on its wall for netting the place out, it's still technically a pristine destination and well kept secret. @Nick Clayton and @Irafly I suppose we could get the band back together, but not sure this one is worthy.
Let’s don’t. I like being able to fly below the radar. Then again, the thought of seeing my grungy attire adorning the outhouse nearest to the boat launch has its allure. Especially after having to put up with some umbrage worthy behavior from a few of the other anglers out there. “Members Only” attitude. Yeah, not worth including in my trip report. Made me wonder why Lue stuck to the fringes.

After fishing LL, I’d say your take is spot on. It would help to fish the days the clubs don’t go. For those driving a long ways, the tricky part would be scoring a campsite for those days. Instead of arriving on a Tuesday, maybe on a Sunday afternoon?

Yesterday I went to Leech lake on the way up there was a car and trailer upon the guard rail hanging by rear wheel about two miles up from Cayuse pass too many vehicles behind could not stop take pictures real lucky person tow truck had it off by the time I left
