Decided to get in one last outing for 2022 on a western WA lake, and was it ever nice to see some blue skies and sunshine! No other boaters on the lake, and only 2 shore anglers were seen. It was surprisingly uncrowded for a Saturday. The water temperature was a chilly 43 to 44 degrees. The water level was very high due to the snow melt and recent rain storms, but very clear with about 12 feet of visibility.

Here's a photo of the largest fish of the day, an 18 incher:

A decent number of fish were hooked, but they all were on the thin side. But they fought decently in spite of the chilly water.
Happy New Year!
