Really flat light on this day but at one point a sun break lit up an otherwise unseen ridge

Wandering around Astoria a couple weeks back. The white smears in the background are fishing boat motoring back up. They disappear due to the long exposure (physics/math of this phenomena are interesting https://fstoppers.com/education/how-long-exposures-erase-people-math-making-crowds-vanish-903818).

The Columbia is a big river.
