Lake Temps?

Bass-O-Matic

Life of the Party
I hit Red Rock Lake last Friday for a change. Hadn't been there in some years. By the water line around the shore it looked to be 5' below the historical high water mark. Not sure where it was compared to the general average? More weeds than I remember. It was murky, that's not unusual though. After cruising some tule edges and shoreline where I usually run into largemouth and seeing nothing I checked the temps. It ranged from 71-74 depending where you were. That seemed high for 5/26, particularly since we have only had few hot days. Next I headed to shoreline areas with rocks on the South side and we picked up some smallmouth. Plenty of carp but didn't come across any good situations to make casts. Some were still acting spawn-like. I declared it not worthy of continuing so we headed to the Columbia. Storms were rolling in so we fished from the bank for maybe 20 and then headed to cover in the Wanapum Heritage Center and some local culture.

I was wondering what others we're running into for temps in Eastern WA? At this point I normally would be running an air conditioner fairly regularly but it's been moderate here in Ellensburg.

I fished a lake in Eastern, Eastern Washington that has depths to 90' this past Sunday and the water temp was a consistent 69 degrees.
