MIke Schmuck is planning to move fish from Lenore's spawning trap this coming Monday (April 28th) starting at 10:00. Rod and I plan to help Mike with this but could use a little help (two more would be great). Anyone, anyone......anyone?

I wish I could but as you know I've been nursing my screwed up back for a week and a half and am just now getting back to somewhat functional.

Wish I could, Pat. The spirit is willing but the knees are weak . . . hat's off to Pat and all those who are helping.

Thanks for the wishes, you take care!!//Pat

Glad a few are stepping up to help Pat! I’m in the old guy recovery stage too. Minor back surgery last Thursday, get the stitches out this Thursday……I can only lift little stocker rainbows one at a time, not big cutts!

I thought, WTH, why not TTT? Anyone............anyone? Domo arigato Mark, Rod and Bob!

Remember to stretch old guys😁 (I work)
Not counting DFW's biologist, the youngest Fish Rescuer is a 67 year old gentleman - the oldest is an 87 year old gentleman. Rod and I are somewhere in between (74 and 75). I was concerned about a big fish kill after another HOT day yesterday and there are plenty of fish carcasses smelling up the area but the spawning trap had (WAG) perhaps 120 - 150 fish active, healthy fish. The creek must still have sufficient DO as the fish were trying not to get netted (water is 58F).

Rod and I spent maybe ten minutes wading the area helping (we think) fish who were stressed from the move. After maybe fifteen minutes most of the fish had disappeared.

There are still fish in the creek, the creek is shrinking day by day. Mike hinted that he's like one more effort at moving fish late this week.
