I have them in my boots...Simms and Korkers. Yet to lose a screw so I'm wondering if you got a size too small? I'll see them wear down and need to replace them when they round off but that's about it.

I think having too many studs, or very badly worn studs, can lead to "ice skating." I'm trying to be more attentive, sticking with 10, and replacing them more often.

Some of my most feared moments involved slabs of inclined dry rock and worn studs!

I got 3/8” size. My soles were pretty worn prior to ever putting them in.
I lost two today. Maybe these ate them?
