As some have mentioned, I use tape, painters tape, and the info written with a sharpy on the bottom of the reel foot.

I am so glad I downsized my collection when I retired. Only kept what I knew I would use. I have 3 LP2 reels and 10 spools. Easy to keep track of them. I use the stickers provided with each line on each spool.

When I downsized I used the funds to pay for fishing and guides for 2 months in WA, MT, and OR. My retirement present to me.
