ISO cheap bootfoot waders for the salt

Hi All,

I have nice waders and wading boots. I don't want to trash them in the salt. I'd like to buy breathable bootfoot chest waders in the $100 price range that I can slip into when I go to the beach to fish for SRC. Something along the lines of these, but in a bootfoot: https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/cabelas-premium-breathable-stocking-foot-fishing-waders-for-men

Any recommendations? Thanks!
What size you looking for? I have a used pair that you are welcome to if the size fits.

Does salt trash them?

I ask because mine have salt crystals all over them, but seem ok so far. I rinse them when the crystals get noisy.

XL. I'm mick around the thiddle, as Runny Babbit says. Size 10 shoe. Thanks for the generous offer!
Ahh the boots would fit, but you will want a little more dancing room in the middle. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

Maybe frogg toggs has what you're looking for.

It will trash the metal lace clip on waders I think, and seems to be hell on boots. I could get stocking foot waders and use my dive boots, but I like the ease of sliding into bootfoot waders when I don't have to do a lot of walking/hiking.

I have those same waders and use them in the salt. You can't beat them for the price. My only nit would be that they could be a little more form-fitting, but I am tall and slim.

I always hose them off after each outing. No leaks and no visibe effects from the salt. I've used them for several years.

I had these Cabelas Premium waders in the past. Always figured they were semi-disposable and each pair worked fine for a few years. Nice and light. Last year I bought a fancy pair of Patagucci waders and now I'm afraid to use them!

I think I'll buy another pair of the Cabelas (in Large-Stout) and wear them with my dive shoes for the salt.

Zak,
I’d see if you can find someone on here that has a cheap pair of wading boots for sale in the size you need. I‘ve worn dive boots fishing the salt around here and didn’t enjoy the experience, especially when a lot of barnacles and oysters were involved.

Frog toggs, while a little goofy looking and probably manufactured using indentured labor, proved surprisingly durable for me.

If you want to come down Tacoma way, I have some old 10.5 Cabelas boots I’d gladly offload - rarely worn, and too small for me, got them from my father in law when he was offloading some stuff.

Belay that, size 11. Kinda skinny too. But sort of a cool vintage look.

Probably recommended them for lakes rather than wearing boots with your fins. 😉

If the dive boots don't work for me, I've got some older Patagonia aluminim bar boots and if they fall apart, I bet Patagonia will give me new pair of River Salts.
