Is it bad luck to....

It was particularly cold in late March, I was fishing near the border of WA and BC, cold. I hooked a big trout, in my excitement I managed to pull the tip of one finger of my nitrile glove.

Not to take from the O.P., but, you folks wearing nitrile, glad you can stand it. either I rip them between thumb and forefinger, or between the fingers while putting them on, or they make my hands sweat so bad I can literally pour water out of them . Just don't work for me.
