Is anyone

I wear a Libre 3+, so have my eye on my blood sugar all the time. I do the finger poke to see if the Continuous Blood Monitor is matching (or how off it is). I advise to set the alarm for the low blood sugar. Shawn, I am looking for one of those for my bike so I can exercise at home.

Folks are dumping stationary bikes for cheap all the time. The guy I got mine from took me into his garage and it was there against the wall with some other exercise equipment. He called it his "Wall of Shame"

One year back in the day, I wanted to make a change after all the Holiday grubbing. I had to work the holidays and decided to do my own Polar Bear swim before work.

So one morning at 4:30 or 5, I drove down to the bay, did a couple three miles, and ran into the water.

Holy crap that was stoooopid .

I only waded far enough to dive, get my head wet, turn around and hustle back to the warmth of the truck but, F me, I didn't think I was gonna make it. Good thing I wasn't crazy enough to jump off a dock somewhere.....wouldn't have had the ability to swim to shore or climb a ladder. 🥶

and when I talked about it at work, my sergeant was like, "you did what????!!!" 🤯

young and dumb 🤪

Mine is a Cycleops magnetic it is 13 years old and has several thousand miles on it. I bought it to train through the winter for my first STP, started my bucket list at 50. I use it almost all winter long, depending on life events.

I believe they have basically been replaced by the Saris Mag... well worth the money https://saris.com/products/mag-trainer ... a good friend reminder me that I need to spend as much time in MY actual saddle to build "calluses" for my actual riding bike not the exercise bike.

I now have or sons (since it was on his "wall of shame") cold plunge tank... I go from riding to the steam sauna to the cold plunge... (and it is the "boys" that say "Your doing what!" Haha).

I hate that my "well check for the year is in January, I always have to remind the doctor the blood sugar is up because of 2 months of holiday eating!
