Interesting New Boat Build

I saw this new boat maker pop up on a social media feed. Looks like they're trying to create a hybrid raft drift boat situation. A Carbon fiber plastic inset that gets strapped down to the raft. I wonder how much they'll sell for.

These guys were on it first. Super innovative platform. Very impressed.

PACKAGE COST: $11,651.89 (w/ Trailer)

how would anyone justify the $30k one?

DANG 30k!!! haha nvm then. Might as well buy a cheap raft + a 3d printer and print your own carbon shell for that kinda coin.
Heck, for $30K you could buy a new, completely outfitted Clack AND a nice, outfitted raft with a trailer.

IMO all of this is overcomplicated and solving problems that don't exist. For one, if you have a high seat in the front of a raft you don't really need to stand up.

I fished out of a LETMRUN 2 days last week. They are narrower than regular raft but not like a Flycraft. Hard bottom, cool mounts for coolers, fly tackle box, etc. The braces for casting are not ergonomic IMO. Outside of both my legs still sore.
Seemed to handle good (I wasn’t on the sticks) and the conditions were very windy. Fished more like a raft than a drift boat.
It was windy AF so we got blown around a bit.
The trailer is ok. A little wimpy perhaps for what I would expect.
We had fun so there’s that 😄

Hey everybody. Little update for you. Abstract Watercraft just went live with an updated 14ft and a 16ft package. I've quoted two boats just this morning.

The 14ft with all of the bells and whistles minus a trailer landed at $19,900. The 16ft of the same package landed at $21,900.

Head to the below link for the full story. This isn't like any other system. The kit weighs in at 275 pounds with the details of a drift boat and the stability and safety of a raft.

Feel free to give me one and I’ll tell all my friends, Rich.

The 80k truck seems like a retirement rite of passage... Then add quarter million dollar rarely used aluminum monster, 100k rv trailer, and the 30k raft ...ahh the American dream.

I have a great raft and don't really see the advantage of a hard 'liner' - especially if it defeats the ability to be self-bailing. The floor of my raft is rigid enough that standing is easy, comfortable and safe. Other than offering more room (which is more a function of boat length) I don't know of any advantages to marrying a raft with a drift boat.

I have to ask: what's the point?

I should have prefaced my comment of homeowner as in or around 30 year olds. Then spend more money tricking out the truck.
I see so many people on my walks in a new house, 2 kids, wife home with them and new vehicles. True, lots lease vehicles, but what people spend now is amazing

So it has been for some time. I guess leveraging your income is still popular. But as a guy who paid two points to get a 13 percent mortgage, borrowing never held attraction for me. No, children, 7% interest rates are not "high".

How can a homeowner justify an $80K diesel truck?
Got a neighbor with a gorgeous Silverado heavy duty 2500 that truly is never driven more than 4 blocks to a McDonald's to pick up eggamuffins for breakfast.

Had a boss that drove a F250 SuperDuty with dualies. Didn't haul anything...he just liked the look of dualies.

A fool and their money.....
