Then go somewhere else. Off to the East side with some buds to a pay to play lake. Weather is meant to be good and only 6 mph winds predicted….I use that term loosely for wind reports, especially on the East

My fear exactly of like, 3x over to be a bit breezy…my Journey handles like an old Buick on water…saving grace is I can use my motor, Chopaka was a real bastard on a couple of days when it ‘blew up’ last year. It took me 30 minutes to row 200 yards into a raging gale.

When it comes to wind prediction a marina owner in LA told me this a number of years ago and while he said it tongue in cheek its not too far off.

Add the two number of the forecasted range and you'll get the real wind. So if they predict 5-10 then its going to blow 15.
