Idaho steelhead license

I am not sure what license I will need in September to fish the Clearwater river for steelhead. I see a non resident 3 day Salmon/ Steelhead license that includes the general fishing license. Is that the only one I need?

If you are fishing within the Nez Perce res only, you used to only need a permit from them and not a state license.

Call poppy at the red shed. He can tell you and used and still may sell the permits

Thanks Russell. I plan on fishing between Orofino and Lewiston. Not sure of the Nez Perce boundaries, so I guess I will wait until I get there to buy a license. I talked with Poppy too so he told me where I could get a license nearby.

I think you will find you just need a Nez Perce Tribal fishing license for where you plan to fish. Good luck!
