I like bullies

Ended up camping on a Central Oregon spring creek the is known to have a substantial bull trout population. I had tied up a few musky style bull trout flies (same size, slightly smaller hooks). I managed to fish for around 45 min yesterday morning before ending up at urgent care with a really bad case of sciatica (I still don't know exactly what happened). But, I did manage to find this low 20"s player. Pretty cool to see a ~23" bullies come up out of nowhere and whack an 8" fly.

We tried to fish a new-to-us section of that same not-so-secret water Sunday afternoon but found little to no access in the stretch we picked. That water from up the bank sure did look "bully" to us. Glad you found success! Hope your sciatica problem clears quickly.

I've been having that pain for years. I just live with it as it will go away after a few days. But there is a way to fight the pain. It only costs about 30 bucks. A wrap around below the knee with a pressure point.

I fished my graphite with streamers. The bamboo got some time on the Crooked and Fall rivers.
