We are going to do some calling sets before elk opens! Only done it for coyotes before. One of the cameras had a lot of bears on it!Nice Billy. I got a bear last weekend and am thinking about picking up another tag. I don't think I'll make it out for the high hunt so otherwise it'll be waiting for modern for deer and elk. Plus a winter of futile cougar calling. If my performance last winter is any indication.
They destroyed that camera. Between the bears and the elk the sensor got a big piercing, the camera was open and the display destroyed with the card hanging on. I'm lucky the card was still even readableThat Elk is clearly mooning you.
Gorgeous shot!Upland opened yesterday in Montana.

Good luck on your hunts!!Gorgeous shot!
I hope you have an encounter with one of those bulls!I leave Wednesday for deer, elk and bear camp.
I do have a late buck tag for the bow for Ringold in November as well. What's everyone's plans this year?

Boning out meat is a good skill to have and honestly, you can’t really mess it up. Transporting animals from the field to to your vehicle is so much easier when it’s in pieces. There are better ways to do it but there isn’t really a “wrong” way.I just wanna get the damn monkey off my back and harvest my first deer already. Fourth time's a charm I guess? Seeing the new CWD restrictions has me a little nervous. I'd better learn how to bone out a deer before I head out to the Blues this year.
Hoping to get out and look for some doves early Friday morning.
I hope you whack one!I leave for archery elk on Friday night. I saw this guy or a very similar bull in the same area a couple weeks ago. Been shooting daily for a year now. I hope it pays off.

Thanks. I am pretty certain that I will be in the game most days. Getting them close, with a clear shot is the difficult part.Good luck!
