Hunting pictures

16 is one of my favorites. I have a Citori White Lightning and a BPS. Also an old Stevens 94…
I own 20's & 12's but the 16ga has been my go-to upland shotgun for about 25 years now, maybe more. I hunt with two old Nickel-steel Model 12's, an LC Smith sxs, a Remington Model 11, the Winchester Model 97, and I recently picked up a Genuine Sears & Roebuck /JC Higgins 16ga bolt action shotgun. I plan to draw turkey blood with the JC Higgins this spring. They're all old.

Some more dead turkeys that ended up in my freezer. The first is a Merriam's taken near Lake Roosevelt with my Winchester Model 97 12g made in 1914. The second is one of me and another bird taken in the same area with my 92 year old LC Smith side by side. The last bird is a Rio Grande subspecies taken in Asotin County in 2011 with my Winchester Model 12 16ga made in 1917. If you haven't figured out the pattern yet, I enjoy collecting and hunting with vintage shotguns. I do pretty much the same with my upland hunting, also, although my dedicated chukar guns are more specific. Turkey 97 12ga.JPGTurkey Elsie.JPGRio Turkey.jpg

Found this male eating on a dead Heifer. Thats one less that the other Heifers and calves have to worry about. This little SBR shoots pretty good. 252 yards.
