True story: Earlier this year, an infamous, 15 year old meme came up in conversation; the "Miley Blue Eyes" meme. My husband wasn't familiar with it, so I googled those 3 words to bring it up. The AI summary, to my amusement, claimed she actually has brown eyes but wears blue contacts, and went on for two paragraphs to support that claim with "evidence. " Hmm... okay, sure. (She's been onstage since she was a toddler, both parents have blue eyes, and there are thousands of photos of her at every age. Literally one of the most photographed people in history.)
THAT conversation came up the following day, so again I searched the same 3 words... and THIS time it confidently stated that she has green eyes, again "supporting" that claim. Wtf?
So of course I did it AGAIN the 3rd day, whereupon it went on to explain how she famously has blue eyes. 🤨
I really wish I'd screenshotted those!

And that was a simple, objective, easily checked fact.
We are soooooooo effed. 😑
 
If AI turns out like the rest of the internet, it'll be used for porn, lying, and scams.
The Nigerian Princes are totally screwed here..

What bothers me about that is…

Oh, I'm sure the Nigerian princes have learned to use AI in their pursuits too.
