I'm working on my second million. Gave up on the first....
That is a real smart strategy.

For the average person to get the first million usually requires 40 years or more of aggressive investing and some good luck.

The compound interest tables show that the second million can easily be done between six and twelve years.

Skip the first....it is real hard. The second is fairly easy. That is why the rich keep getting richer.

All you had to post was it takes money to make money. It has always been true. Since it took me a lifetime to be without wealth I have nothing and I want or need nothing other than what I have. To coin a swimming analogy. I am happy being able to tread water. I have never found any humor in money talk. So ignore my post please.

Tripping over dollars to pick up dimes.....that is funny. Imo.

My wife showed me this last night. Good for a chuckle

The reason Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet was because nobody was married. Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd, Howard, Goober, Gomer, Sam, Earnest T Bass, Helen, Thelma Lou, Clara and, of course, Opie were all single. The only married person was Otis, and he was the town drunk.

Old Fishing Buddy
I recently re-discovered an old neighbour and fishing buddy that, due to my job transfers, hadn't seen in over 30 years. We reconnected when I saw his name attached to a boat-for-sale ad. We were close back in the day, sharing the same warped sense of humour that had our wives cringing at the same time...good times ! I invited him up to fish 'bows in one of my local streams. He arrived at my door, and as I looked at a 30-year older caricature of his former self, I realized he was looking back at the same thing. We keep in close touch and he comes up several times a year to hit the 'bows, cutties and pinks and have more than a few laughs along the way....Good times again !

Funnily enough, I quit golfing out of concern that I'd hurt my casting shoulder!
I found out why my ex casting shoulder hurt so much . Torn shoulder socket like my miniscus tear in my right knee. Apparently the evolution of old injuries is inevitable so phys therapy exercises help.theold injury was a dislocationand a unknown crack in my right clavicle. I will do some casting again with my 3 and 4 wt’s . I may not be tossing my 9 wt again?
