So just before the Seahawk’s kickoff……15 minutes in the shop I scarfed a PMQ tip section onto a hex intermediate section to make a 5’7” one piece Frankenhexquad….another shorty for the repaired St. George jr……

I haven’t been working on the rod lately, but went out to the cold shop and made a wine cork grip/reelseat and am thinking of darkening them too. Next buzz on some guide feet then choose the wrap color…..

I wrapped the rod with orange/black tiger thread. After a tuff Seahawks loss….got the second coat of color preserver on…..Threadmaster tomorrow….ready to fish!

I finished the rod after an amazing Husky win!! Lawn cast it today with St. George jr……one of the best casting rods outta my shop so far!! Really looking forward to getting this one out on a lake!
