Why did they roll Schultz out there for the first shot in the SO?

I think Hak yelled Schwartz but it was misheard I was a little baffled when Matty went out so early. Kept thinking let’s not use shootouts to try and build confidence plz.

YESSSSS! 8 rounds of shootout was stressful for the W, but a W none the less!!

I admit, I'm not a fan of shootouts. ESPECIALLY not for reg season games.

Just let it be a tie. Ties are okay.

Gretzky retired at 38, the same age Ove is now. If I had to guess age is creeping on him, fatigue for sure.
