Wanted Hareline Pearl Diamond Braid

About a year or so ago, Hareline changed their pearl flat diamond braid. The new stuff (on the right) is stiffer and has more of a gold color to it. Just not a fan of it.
I’m looking for the older stuff on the left that came in the package with the old Hareline logo.
If you have some lying around that you aren’t using, please let me know.

If you haven't found a source for this yet, I think my local Fly Shop, Fin and Fire in Redmond, Oregon has the old stuff. Im pretty sure I saw it there about 3 weeks ago. I was looking for minnow body material, pondered this exact material but went a different route. Great shop with excellent staff. Give them a call.

I was at Pacific earlier this week and unfortunately didn’t see Pearl in stock.
A member just ordered some from another source and I’ll stop by his place today to see if it is the old or new version.
I’ve found also that some shops don’t update the product picture because the product number is the same on both versions. That happened to me on my previous order. I received the new version.

I agree with the product picture possibly not being updated. But it sure looks like the gold-colored braid.
Have you tried calling or emailing Hareline directly? Maybe sending them a picture of what you got with packaging
and who knows they could send you the correct stuff

I haven’t contacted them. My feeling is they changed the material and just kept the product number the same. I have friends who have ordered it as well and received the new version. I doubt they have any of the old version left but some shops might have some if they don’t sell high volumes of it.
I’ll find some somewhere.

Can confirm the old (left) and new (right) product #s are the same. I thought maybe I got a defective bag of the new until I saw this.

Brian, as you can see I'm about out of the old pearl, but I have about a half bag of old pink and most of a bag of chartreuse. They are yours if you want them. They are ok, but they are a lot "fuzzier" than the pearl and thus don't take UV cure or SHHAN as well.

I appreciate the offer but have plenty of those colors and don’t use the often compared to pearl. I agree with you on the texture of the color diamond braid versus the pearl. Very lumpy!

Might have also found another supplier that could source it for them at a less expensive cost if they don’t make it themselves.

A few years back, I called "Hareline" directly looking for some older, hard to find material, not carried in the local shops anymore. They were very nice, scoured their stock, found what I needed and sent me a lifetime supply.
