After sending 3 emails and making 3 phone calls leaving my number. Never hearing back from Hardy USA. I finally called Hardy UK and they reached out to USA and then they contacted me
I have to admit I was a little surprised to find out the springs that put the pressure on the toggles are $12.$6 for the spring and $6 for shipping and handling Mine broke through no fault of my own and I’m the original owner of the reel. I also relieve the pressure on the springs when I’m done fishing. The reel was sent in for service just last year when the secrew that holds the spool on the spindle sheered off
Now $12 is not the big deal. But this is for an item that cannot cost more that a coup bucks to produce Not nearly as much as your reel failing you while on 2 trip. Then it taking 3 weeks to make contact with Hardy USA.
I do own 2 perfects 2 Bougle and 3 Marquis. I do love the clicker sound. But for the cost of these reels. A sealed drag is way more reliable!!!
