Happy 4th

My wife's away climbing Mt Kilimanjaro so I'm home today looking after a dog who is petrified of the loud noises from fireworks. Started the day off with pancakes and berries from the front yard...



Then time to fill out the streamer/bull trout box with some Chief Needabah's. Here are the wings after glueing...



And the finished product...



Trying out some new heavy mustard heavy wire L87AP streamer hooks. Don't think I like them as much as the standard Mustad R79-94720 hooks but the L87 hooks are a little sturdier and maybe less apt to bend on rocks on in bull trout mouths.

Nice looking flies. I love that style and wish I was more accomplished in it.
