2 miles offshore in Lake Michigan.
Don't see many of these out on the lake, he/she was just floating out there, we picked it up and it rode with us for a couple of hours and was released onshore.
I've had tiny little birds that were likely lost at sea hitch a ride on my radar tower. Even had one make it all the way back to land where I think he preferred to be.
