Guide suggestions for a Bonefish outing on the flats at Florida Keys?

So, we are planning a road trip from the Floriday Keys up the coast to Washington DC this spring. We have a few days at the start of the trip at Key West to get acclimated, :) and I'd like to book a trip fishing the flats with my brother in-law for bonefish. Neither of us have fished the salt or the flats for that matter. But we can cast a fly, a bout 50' at least LOL. We enjoy a casual day guided with someone who will make it a fun and learning experience. IF we can put a fly in the right spot and actually have a hook up would be a bonus and totally amazing in my book. So, we are looking for a guided session, with a fun and patient guide with solid equipment and a sense of humor for an outing. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated, oh and this will be early in May, is this the wrong time of year for this? Thanks

Don't have any recommendations, but that sounds like one helluva fun roadtrip - have a great time - take lots photos and do post.

Cheers

Andy Mill’s podcast is almost entirely focused on south Florida fly fishing. You can probably find a few guides to call from the list of people he interviews - and get a sense of what their like before dropping 600-700$ for a day.

Thanks for the information. We did book a trip with a recommended (thanks Albula! (Bill)) and highly rated guide now, but I'll check out the podcast for more insight to this new to me adventure. Should be a fun day in May.
