I was editing pics from the last couple days and realized I have not seen a thread dedicated to fish pictures. We all have tons of pics of fish sitting in the bottom of the net - please don't include these:
Not a huge fan of hero shots, but they are a huge part of our culture. If you have images with a cool twist, please share them. We could all benefit from better hero shots. This one from last fall is not that unique except the weather and that big ole mouth:
I have my standard non standard shots and am looking for new ideas.
Probably my favorite - especially if the water is fairly flat and I can get a good reflection is this fish in the film with a low camera angle shot. These are my best example from the last few years:
This one even has the color of my green canoe reflected in the fishes scales which I thought was cool:
Sure wish there was a reflection for these but the perspective still works for me
Another favorite is the slightly underwater with a reflection above the fish shot. Like this one from Friday afternoon:
Then there is the detail shots like this bird wrasse
or the different perspective shots
