Gear Reel Service

I have a Penn 450 SS that might see some use later this summer roping Pinks. It feels a bit tight and could probably use a good overhaul. Last time I looked inside I decided that was a job better left to someone else.

Any recommendations for a person to do general reel service?

Thanks.

I think the only challenge on spinning reels is the bail return spring…if you don’t take that apart, you can wipe out the grease, soak in vinegar to remove salt corrosion, then re-grease; you can order new drag discs

Phil,
Try alantani.com . Plenty of instructions if you want to do it yourself, but there's also a registry of reel service and repair shops.

I'm told Ollie's in Oregon closed down a few years ago. Haven't ever found a shop in WA.
