Gallos Y Mas

Just returned from our annual friend group fishing trip and I think this might have been the best one over the last decade. We spent a week in the east cape, fishing with guides a few days and also doing quite a bit of beach fishing on our own.

Pictures should tell most of the story, but fishing was outstanding, with 20 or so roosters per boat per day (about four hours), some dorado thrown in, jacks, lady fish, trevally and a few other species caught.

Beach fishing at first light was incredible for jacks and roosters, with most morning sessions lasting about an hour and a half and an average of five fish to hand per session. The place we stayed was amazing as well with cars, bikes, snorkeling, kiting equipment, snorkeling and a bunch of other fun toys included. The birding and snorkeling in the afternoon where truly exceptional.IMG_9311.JPEGIMG_E3631.JPGIMG_E3686[1].JPGIMG_E3687[1].JPGIMG_9350[1].JPEG

Can you tell us where you stayed?

Go get 'em, I was told while down there June/July/August, it is not uncommon to have 15 mahi per day on the fly.
Mind sending me your location beta by DM too? The East Cape is the place I wanted to get to the most (along with Mag Bay) but alas, we never made it to either on our road trip in November.

Can you DM me location as well? I've been eyeing this area for a family trip where I could sneak out early for some beach fishing.

I know the area and a person with a nice house to rent if anyone wants to look into it.
