Furthest Travel to Fish

While I'd love to get back to AU during prime fishing, I'm smitten by Baja and all it has to offer.
 
To a little sun speckled brook trout creek in the nearby mountains.
My last lab greeting me, having forgiven me for that last trip to the vet.
Her following me as I fish in the tunnels created by trees, dappled by the sun.
Her rambling off when bored with me, making sure we are safe from predators.
The happy splash of cool mountain water, her tail wagging, coming back to check on me.

No insurance needed.

so, i have just winter/spring traveled down to baja, and not fished yet. i have one place kinda dialed in over by mulege. do you have some locations ?? barriles ??

We go to Loreto, supposedly not quite as good of fishing as Los Barrilles (I've heard, have not confirmed), but it's outstanding. I absolutely love everything about Loreto.
 
You're starting to see guys sneaking decent-sized LIVE FISH into the Business Class Hotel Rooms. Upper tier MARRIOT-LEVEL HOTELS. Guys are PUTTING these fish into the BATHTUB and catching em right there in the Business Class Hotel Rooms (as well as other various MARRIOT-LEVEL HOTEL OFFERINGS IN MAJOR BUSINESS HUBS. Casting at these live fish THRU the doorway. Rippin' ones out of the bathtub.

Did you get to fish the Sopachanaya or Utholuk? The Sopachanaya may well have been the best steelhead fishing that I have enjoyed. No dry line fishing but talk about bright and fresh fish right out of the salt.

Primary fine print is whether the insurance is your PRIMARY insurance.
That way you will not need to use your private insurance first as your "Primary".
Very big differance

Clarkman is correct about Loreto.
If you want to get Dorado of a lifetime Loreto is the place.
In the PNW if you want Chinook you go to B 10 in Aug-Sept.
If you want big bull dorado you go to Loreto In July.
Be prepared for Very hot weather.
Los Barriles gets big wind alot that can keep you shore bound
plus the fishing was not as good IMO.
In Loreto be SURE to get some "Chocolate clams" ...to die for.

In a car did a spontaneous road trip to BC a few years ago and had a 14 hour solo drive from Idaho to Sacramento to make work the next day.

Flew redeye California to New York, then to Johannesburg, then a small flight to Mossel Bay, South Africa to look at the great whites.
