Tad nippy when I headed out this morning...launched and ran across the lake to my fave point, hooked up on first cast with a white BL, caught a few more until it started getting ignored....went to chronomids, another half dozen to the boat, takes split between a chromie and red holo...was having a sandwich break around noon when a nice fish broke water between me and a lineup tree, so grabbed the beetle rod and let it float, few minutes later a savage take was followed by an air show, so spent the next couple hours slow drifting beetles along the shoreline, lotta takes, lotta misses, a handful to the boat before calling it one good day and heading home, thankful for another fine day upright.

Oh man. I was up at east last Sunday and it was so dead. No activity, no hatch, and the few other people not having any success. It was so disappointing because it used to be such a good lake.

I’m glad you had a good day

drove over there a week ago after pulling out of Paulina just to see what it looked like...low, lotta of algae, didn't see any rises...perfect time for the forest service to move that 4x4 rock sticking up at the end of the Cinder Hill launch ramp that year after year takes out props and damages out drives, while USFS auto-repeats ' too big for us to move, and we're trying to find a contractor willing to'...
