Frankenquad!

I just got home from lake X...... 6/13 with PHQ. All on chironomids under an indicator. A couple of bows were 17” and 16” the rest were 12“-13” fought really well and two throat pumps revealed small chromies, #18-16. The rod cast 40’+ with two chironomids, swivel, indicator and a 9’ leader. Being on the stiff side, it bent well with trout on the other end!
Towards the end of the evening, I got the tangle from hell so I had to cut it all off and put a foam caddis to try for a few risers. No luck there but the rod sings with just a fly! 60’+ easily...... It held up well for a first Frankenquad!

That's great Steve. I had one today too, just cut and start again.
