Hi everyone,

An update on my dad Ron. My Dad seemed to have touched the lives of so many great people from all over the country. From fishing people to foodies, veterans and dancers, it seems I am not sure how to best contact everyone. I felt like everyone is here on facebook.

My Dad and Vickie moved here to Maine to spend some time with my family and i as we have always lived a bit of distance apart. I am forever grateful for that time. I have enjoyed many many stories of all of you and your adventures with my dad.

Many of you knew he was battling cancer. He was courageous and a fighter until the end, no big surprise there. I am finding letters, getting e mails and messages from so many of you, I thought I would take the time to let you know he has crossed and is with sweet Vickie. Thank you all for loving and caring for him through the years.

Ah geeez, Melissa, your dad was one of the most inspiring tiers on the flymph forum, a gentle and kind person, with encouragement and enthusiasm for all. His encouragement, his kindness, his nurturing, were a great help to me.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for all of us to lose him.

I'm very glad his struggle is over, it was brutal. But so is losing him.
