Mud Hole rod building supplies looks like they might have your replacement. Clean up the end of the rod, ream the new cork fighting butt to fit if necessary, and glue that thing onto the rod. DIY. As a friend of mine says, "make it happen".

First off, thanks to everyone for their suggestions and kind offers!

I'm still looking at all my options (fly rod supply websites) to buy a $5-$6 fighting butt that will easily fit onto my NRX classic. If necessary I might have to sand out some cork for a proper fit. Then I can epoxy it onto the rod.
