Fly Lines for Switch rods ?

Ambush for big fly long leader dry line stuff. 40+ for other stuff maybe a weight or 2 over depending on what you want. Nextcast coastal as well.

Got a question about best tips to use with a Commando Smooth 300g on a Beulah Opal Surf 5/6, casting overhead. I'm a bit different from most of yall speychuckers, since I fish my two handers in the salty surf for surf perch, striper, and coho. Usually I use home made tips with Skagit heads on my other 2-handers, but I want to try the Smooth just so I can strip more of the line into the rod tip easily. Does anyone here have a similar setup? Any feedback on tips? I'm gonna need a floating tip and one that sinks 3-4 IPS.
I got a 300 grain smooth for beach salmon & rivers but mostly used it at the beach this year on my single hand rod. The tip i used at the beach was 5/5 float sink 4 and a 10 foot intermediate. Casting was good and stripping line much better than a commando head. Still figuring it out on moving water.

I really like a 350 gr. 6/7 Snowbee XS Switch line on my Beulah Opal Surf 5/6, tipped with an Airflo Polyleader, for overhead beach casting. The loop to loop connection with the Polyleader isn’t a problem with those big guides on the Opal, and the Snowbee Switch is an integrated line, so there’s no loop to running line.

I love the Nextcast Coastal…I have it in F/Int and it is a killer for small water/ pocket water winter swings. That and 10’ of T-11 or the MOW 5’/5’ int/T11 or 14.
