Want to work for the company founded by the legendary Tim Rajeff? Well, here's a rare opportunity!

Rajeff Sports / ECHO Fly Fishing is looking for someone that is hard-wired for customer service! Fly Fishing knowledge is helpful, but the ability to chat with customers; from fishermen wanting to ask about the gear, to fly shops placing their shop orders and everything in between is the top priority.

Must be able to commute to Vancouver, WA

Skills:
  • Must be computer savvy - While you don't need to know all the programs inside and out beforehand, a general savviness for using and understanding computer work is a must.
  • Able to make decisions and resolve customer issues
  • Communicate through email and phone - effective writing skills are a must.
  • Ability to self-manage - it's a small company, and you will be the manager of your part of it
Responsibilities:
  • Point of contact for fly shops to place fill-in and preseason orders
  • Oversee and share duties in the warranty/repair department
  • Manage guide/pro purchase program
  • Answer emails from shops, end customers, guides and pros
  • When the phone rings, be on point to take the call

If this sounds up your alley, shoot me a private message. This is a great company to work for, so could be a great opportunity for the right candidate.

Sounds like a great opportunity for a service oriented, motivated self starter with a positive outlook.
Kind of wish I was closer, it'd be a challenging but fun position.
:)

Bumping this back up - the opportunity is once again open for someone to work for this awesome company. The one I used to work for and continue to have an excellent relationship with. Would love to help them find another team member to help take care of any customer correspondences. Bonus points if you have any photoshop/illustrator skillz

I had the ability to fake it for some time, but did much better there when my job was purely marketing and shop sales. I respect anyone who can deal with warranty customers on a daily basis. That ain't me.

Does being good with emojis count...and does being a people person mean being able to tell someone where to go, and make them look forward to the trip ?

Asking for a friend...
😁

It actually sounds like a good job for a level headed, calm self starter looking to work their way up in the industry...

Yeah if it was more purely marketing/design I would be all over it. If they ever need that--even freelance/contract let me know.

I’ve had excellent customer service from Echo. Broke a tip on one of my rods by closing it in the truck door. I had enough cell service to get on the internet and order a new tip. Price was so reasonable I bought two. They arrived home about the same time that I did. Can’t beat that!

Wow...do you mean to say that you actually 'fessed up' and took the blame? :ROFLMAO:
My guess is that Evan could probably write a book on 'cock n' bull' warranty stories.

I'm only willing to consider if the MONEY is Big Time. When I'm talkin Big Time I'm talkin Big Time. And the PURKS!!!! I maintain all say over my working hours and genwral RULES OF EMPLOYMENT

I was a "repeat" customer on that warranty program. My impression (the banker in me) was they set it up as a win-win for seller and user by building enough into the (then) $35 to keep it profitable/or BE while the user stayed in business on the water; and w/o replacing whole rods for an unsustainable chunk of change. If it were my company I'd find that balance point where the warranty is actually a way of capturing additional profits while my customers love me for it at the same time.

Evan would know if I'm anywhere close on that but, to their credit, that's what I was feeling from Echo and why I was using them on the new side.

The good news is that as of this January 1st, Washington’s minimum wage is $16.66. So you get to start on the high end of the scale of minimum wage.
