Fishpond Nomad Hand Net

The handle on my Fishpond Nomad Hand Net has gone tacky. As part of the warranty replacement process they had me draw an X over the logos, but are letting me keep the net. I’ve had it for a little under a year so it’s in otherwise good shape.

There are apparently ways to fix or mitigate the stickiness with ammonia or isopropyl alcohol or a magic eraser or very fine grit sandpaper, but I don’t want to screw around with that.

If you do, or you don’t mind an extra nonslip nonslip grip, the net’s yours.

Something to do with a failed plasticizer(?) but it’s an older model of net and apparently they’ve since corrected the issue in newer/current nets.

There is absolutely no way a net handle with fingerprints is going to "out net" a handle without fingerprints. It's just a fact of life, it affects everything.
