Dave -arrived at 8:30 to about 6 rigs in the lot and Wind!
we were not expecting that. and even though the sun was out, it was cold.
we geared up and started fishing. the wind stayed up till almost noon and by that time I was at the west side of the lake.
we were catching fish, but not big numbers and half were the recent plants.
once the wind died down, you could fish any where on the lake. there were about 8 of us on the lake and then a crowd came in for the afternoon bite - like 10 more people. while the lake did not seem crowded, the launches were.
it was like Mt Everest with stuff all over the place. we had to wait to get our boats off the water - first time for that ever.
there was not a constant bite for us. one or two here, one or two there. but I will say, all the fish were spunky and put up a good fight.
besides lots of ducks, I saw one bald eagle.
also saw a huge dead perch floating. must have been 14 inches.
I got sun/wind burned. but it was a great day to be on the water soaking up the sun. catching fish was the bonus.
I will also say, it was a good bunch of people on the water. everyone seemed to be having a good time.

If you saw F-14’s flying, Iran must be gung-ho on running an air-air engagement over CONUS utilizing any Grumman assets they have left…also I saw flying in the air: F-14's.
the boat launch reminded me of Don Armini boat launch when you can fish for kings in the bay
If it was fighter jets it was most likely F-15s from either Portland ANG Base or Mountain Home AFB. Those are the two closest locations where fighters are based.ok, maybe not F-14's what ever plane trains in the Yakima Firing Range
