Fish Cat leak repair

not wanting to high jack the other bladder thread, so I'm starting another....

Anyone have any luck finding and repairing Fish Cat bladder leaks? I have a Fish Cat 2 I picked up on the old forum classifieds and it has sprung a leak. Thought I read where someone said the seams get brittle and start to leak on the older Fish Cats which mine certainly is. Is it worth it to repair, or should I buy new bladders, or ditch it altogether?

IMHO bladders working properly is a safety issue. They can save your life.

A few dollars spent so that you can return to your family and friends at the end of the day are dollars well spent.

Edited to add: If the fabric is okay, bladder replacement is okay. Only you know that. ...

what RCF said. The original Bladders in my Fishcat 2 lasted about 8 years before I replaced them.

TearAid in conjunction with HH66. I have a slow leak in an Outcast boat then patched it with those two. Ordered a second bladder kit but haven’t had an issue with the repair job. Use soap in a spray bottle to find the leak and be sure to spray it on the valves and watch for bubbles. Many times it’s your valves that are dirty and leaking.

As Wayne said the folks at Outcast are great to work with too. If it comes down to it it’s cheaper to buy a new bladder kit from them.

Thanks folks. I'll check the valve first, and if that's not the culprit, will give Outcast a ring and look into new bladders.
