Fish Art

I've been wood carving since I was Boy Scout some 65 years ago. Been doing trout for about 35 years. All the fish are carved from Tupelo wood and airbrushed with acrylic paints and paint pigment powders. Branches and rocks are carved from basswood. Leafs are made from .010 brass sheets and airbrushed. Gravel on some is made from Plaster of Paris and the colors are airbrushed.
I know there are fantastic fish carvers on the west coast, they could put me to shame I'm sure.

I was once told to look for "extra ordinary" ..This is what I see here... "extraordinary". Aside from the sculptures , the level of "table top" photography images was actually quite good. I used to do this type of photography for artists. Whomever set up those first five shots ( images of your art work) deservers a high five.

Feel free to mix-up whatever acrylic paints and pigment powders necessary to paint me completely in AWE! Wow!

Thank you for sharing.

My oldest son is a professional photographer and is always happy to set aside some time for me. I will pass on the compliments to him,

Outstanding work Harry! Thanks for sharing.
(Once again I feel so inadequate. :))
I love the Bass sneaking up on the frog.

Do not feel inadequate. Think of it as something to strive for...

I saw instantly that your artwork is astounding . But my background in commercially photographing artwork, allowed me to instantly appreciate the images that your oldest son created. That first photo in the Op ...says it all
