Yes, my 12 foot Duroboat took on water quicklyYeah I've done that a couple times. I generally don't pull the plug, but when I do, I forget I did.
You see the error of you way pretty quick when its a small aluminum utility skiff.
1) absolutely, luckily the launch wasn’t busyHahahaha - I used to laugh at boaters who forgot their boat plug or their tie down straps or multitude of other brain farts, "used" to. @EmergingFisher - Did you notice two things? 1) boats fill faster than they drain, and 2) backing your boatless trailer up while your boat is sinking is more difficult than when the boat plug is in? (Voice of experience.)
Just like not unplugging my lights before backing into the water, this is a mistake I’m probably not going to make againI have ocd. I check mine no less then 845 times![]()
I've done this as well and had bulbs fail for the drive home. I was in Japan at the start of Covid, my wife and I flew home and found @Engee rewiring and replacing all the lights on my pram trailer with sealed LED's. I still try to remember to unplug the trailer lights but have forgotten a couple times..... maybe they really are "sealed"?Just like not unplugging my lights before backing into the water, this is a mistake I’m probably not going to make again
At some point I need to re-wire my trailer, but the lights all work right now so no rush. I’ve fried them once at the launch, just hoped people behind paid attention while driving home. Also took one out backing into a post once.I've done this as well and had bulbs fail for the drive home.
