Headed over to the lakes east of here for the first overnighter of the year with the boys. We hooked up to make sure everything works. Nice sites.
So the oldest grandchild got to show his dad what he could do. They spent the evening taking turns catching and netting fish. I sat and cried for a minute.
The peacock leech with orange hot spot was good.
as was the stupid stocker leech. Glad I figured out flies so I could just sit and watch the catching.
Next morning we were playing with our bug nets by the creek, and this came floating down.
And we caught some of these
Most were coming from the closed river but some from the lakes. I got a few on stimulators, but these flies were better for the boys.
Just so much fun.
