First fish…!

Wow… a great way to start the new year (!) ..although it may be all down hill from here! 😁 I just spent a couple fun hours up on one of our favorite west side lakes, and was pretty much dialed in! The first hit I missed, 🤷‍♂️ the 2nd I broke off on the take (big fish..steelhead? ) 🤦‍♂️ .. the 3rd I landed after a great fight! A 6-8 pound steelhead, (WDFW dumps a bunch in this lake) followed by a couple rainbows 16” and 20”! All were in excellent shape..

…and if that doesn’t take your breath away, on the way back in, I catch a 4-5 pound largemouth bass! Great fun…!

Got my first fish of the year today. Caught 8 or 9. Most on a balanced leech (bruised color), a couple on a simi seal leech (tan, red, blue & yellow) and a couple on a Borden Special. Pretty slow so just had to keep pitching different stuff.

Had my first double of the year too! With @Bambooflyguy so also had the first shot of Crown for the year. 😁 (y)

If you fish with Steve, you’ll usually catch fish and always have Crown! 😁
