After a month long hiatus of wetting a line (back/nerve issue), I snuck out to my favorite central OR trout river.

I'm loving my Orvis Bug Out backpack. It's really well thought out organizationally with these compartments in the main pocket. It's just perfect for holding my beer with a little ice pack.

Even so, I covered less than a third of the water I normally do on this stretch, opting for the easier to access spots. Likely had something to do with my lower than normal fish count. But man, it felt good to be out there.
