Howdy, Lots of sales history over on SpeyPages and on the bamboo & glass forums. Just upgraded to a paying member here.
I find myself with too many glass and bamboo rods to fish, so I'm moving a few along. Price is via PayPal G&S and includes PayPal fees and shipping CONUS. Not looking for any trades. Shipping outside of the lower 48 will be more. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
- Fenwick FF80-3 8ft 5/6wt 3pc. This was a personal rod of rod designer and builder for the bay area - James Green. He customized it in the following ways: "Rod has been refinished and modified by James Green. Grip has been shortened to 6 1/2”, reel seat is a vintage Struble with cork insert. All wrap have been given 5 coats of spar varnish." It's a very nice med action for all round Trout fishing. If you needed only 1 vintage Fenwick, this is a nice 3pc rod that would cover your bases for trout, bass, shad or panfish. SOLD
- James Green 744 Montana Series 7ft 4inch 4wt 4pc. This is from James' new Montana Trout Series and was built by him. Nice vintage red Heddon agate stripper. Flor grade cork handle and cork reel seat with sliding band. Classic James Green minimal, super-classy build. Lawn cast only. Description below from Adam's Angling about this taper: "An all-around rod at home in Montana or New Zealand that will protect a 7X tippet, and deliver a precise cast on the nose of a trout. James Green learned a lot by studying the tapers and construction of fine rods by Winston, Claudio, Scott, and others. He developed his taper knowledge and casting style while working with World-Class casters at the Oakland Casting Club and Golden Gate Angling & Casting Club. He designs his mandrels and blanks to his own taper specifications, and varies the taper by cutting different areas in the flag or glass cloth." SOLD
- Chris Barclay Progressive Brown Glass 5wt 7' 10" 3piece. This one has the stacked bamboo reel seat with really nice brass hardware. Very light use. Excellent condition. Chris is taking a break from building rods and his current prices are almost at 1K. This is one the rods that put him on the map as a fiberglass taper designer and rod builder. SOLD
