I'm not nearly educated enough on that topic to have strong opinions. But it sounds like it's proposed legislation. That doesn't mean anything has passed or has a chance of passing.

Outerwear article

Just as an FYI, if you're needing to refresh the water repellant finish on your outerwear/waders, Nikwax TX.Direct is probably the most widely available PFC-free product out there right now. It doesn't last as long as factory DWR coatings using C8/C6 PFAs but that's a small sacrifice.

It also doesn't really totally resolve the issue of the factory PFA coatings leaching off and the wider issue of finding a durable factory applied alternative but we gotta start somewhere.
