Favorite tippet/leader material?

All I use is 5x. Where I fish that is all I need. Where I fish the Trout don't get very big. Plus the closest Salt water is about 800 miles west of me.

Maxima for steelhead, S/A or Orvis for Nylon and Floro as they are pretty much the same brand now.

In my tackle bag I have Rio, Seaguar, SA, Maxima, and Orvis. Mostly Flouro, but a couple spools of mono for dries. I guess I am not set on one brand, but more of the spools are Rio than the others...... I don't find there to be a huge difference from one to another.....

I became fond of Maxima UG for everything from SRC to SMB up in the PNW. Leader spools are readily available at the fly shop, as well as general sporting good stores and even Walmart. Moved to SC ~6 months ago and brought my remaining Maxima. As I worked through the 15lb and 20lb fishing for redfish I started looking to restock. Couldn't find em anywhere, apparently they are not sold in the southeast region according to the local fly shop. Weird. Amazon Prime came to the rescue.

Trouthunter fluoro for the small sizes
Seaguar STS for bulk/lake work
Rio for nylon
Maxima for leader building

For regular leaders and tippets, I use Rio Powerflex (30lb to 5x).

For mono rigs, I use Sunset Amnesia (8lb), Cortland Tri-color (7.2lb) and Rio Fluoroflex Strong (5x or 6x).
