Got my December blacktail back from the local beetle dude, he did a great job. Hung it up next to my wife's 3x3 blacktail, and with enough room to hang her mountain goat skull when it gets finished in June.

How much do they charge for the dermestid beetle work? I've been thinking about getting a colony going but the cost of feed is more expensive to keep them.

Holy shit that’s cheap. My buddy just got a quote for an elk bull skull for $400 for 1 in Corvallis oregon.

It's a slower process, people think they are like piranhas. Still need to remove hair and excess flesh/brain matter, keep it moist, correct temp etc.
