My Remington 700 was in need of a new trigger and safety. So I took it into REHV Arms here in Ellensburg this morning and told maybe 4 weeks as they were busy in the shop. At 5 PM I get a call, your rifle is ready to pick up.

Outstanding service and the price was decent and more than fair.

That's pretty impressive! It's hard to find a good gunsmith.

Did you need the work because of a flaw in the original trigger? I heard there were some issues with the factory triggers.

This rifle is of the 70's era and the trigger was just wore out.

I think you are thinking of some runs around the early 2000's that had some bad triggers and Remington replaced at no charge.

At some point in time and use all triggers will wear out.

Remington had some problems with the Mod 700 in the past supposedly discharging with the safety on. I believe there were some voluntary recalls and lawsuits involved. Glad to hear that yours has upgraded with new parts.

I can give their westside shop two thumbs up in Covington. Great bunch of guys and I've had great customer service there.
