Do tell 🙂

what was the substrate? The base material? And did ya do the ScottP microwave version? Or the hot plate slow cooker method?

I boiled some water (4C), added citric acid (1Tbs) and the dye (1/8tsp). I then took it off the heat to cool down a little to not scorch the material. I test with little test swaths(see Attachment), I check often for color saturation. Sometimes it only takes a minute or two to get the color you want. I put it in a cold water bath with some detergent and then rinse. With the olive color I thought it got too saturated too quickly, so I dumped out 2C and the added 2C of water and put in a 1/2Tbl of citric acid. Even then the material was in for only a minute, if that.
I used the Mega Baitfish Emulator 5.5, it only comes in white. I like the material and wanted the length.
I have been using Jacquard Acid Dyes and Dharma Acid Dyes.
